Faculty History

Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Agriculture, which was opened with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 04.07.1995 and numbered 95/7044, is located at the Ali Numan Kıraç Campus on Ziraat Street on the Kütahya road.

The first department opened at the Faculty of Agriculture is the Field Crops department. Education and training at the Faculty started in the Plant Production program at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the 2002-2003 academic year and continued in the Agricultural Engineering program since the 2003-2004 academic year. The faculty gave its first graduates in 2006.

Today there are departments of Field Crops, Horticulture, Agricultural Biotechnology, Animal Science, Plant Protection, Biosystem Engineering, Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, Landscape Architecture, Agricultural Economics, Food Engineering in our faculty. Students started to be admitted to the Field Crops program from the 2009-2010 academic year, to the Horticulture Program and the Animal Science program from the 2011-2012 academic year, and to the Agricultural Biotechnology program from the 2012-2013 academic year.

Students are not yet admitted to the Plant Protection, Biosystem Engineering, Soil and Plant Nutrition, Landscape Architecture, Agricultural Economics and Food Engineering departments.
